Most plumbers treat sewer line repair as a multi-day conversation. Metro Rooter treats it as a problem that needs fixing now.
If your sewer line is failing — backups, slow drains across the house, sewage smell in the yard, sinkholes appearing over the line — you don't have weeks. The damage compounds. The cost grows.
We dispatch sewer diagnostics same-day in The Dalles, OR. Camera in the line, problem identified, scope documented, work scheduled — typically all within twenty-four hours of your first call.
What Goes Wrong With Sewer Lines — And Why Speed Matters
A small root intrusion at one joint becomes a fully blocked line in months.
A hairline crack from ground settlement becomes a section collapse.
Groundwater infiltration leads to soil washout and sinkholes.
Occasional backups are early signals of major downstream failure.
Problems caught early are repairs. Caught late are full replacements.

Sewer Line Repair in The Dalles: FAQs
How fast can you get out to inspect?
Same-day in most cases for The Dalles, OR. Call early in the day for the best window.
Will you tell me honestly whether repair or replacement is the right call?
Yes — that's the whole point of the camera inspection. We document the line condition and present the appropriate scope.
How much does a sewer line repair cost?
It depends on the depth, length, access, and method. We provide a written estimate after inspection in The Dalles, not over the phone.
Do you handle permits?
Yes — sewer work typically requires municipal permitting, and we manage that as part of the project.
Will my yard be destroyed?
Trenchless methods minimize surface impact significantly. We discuss expected disturbance before work begins.
Why "Just Replace the Whole Line" Isn't Always the Right Answer
A sewer line is a series of segments... The footage will show whether the failure is localized or distributed.
